The door is always open. The house is safe. Tea can be on in minutes and the kitchen table can be cleared in a moment. It is a place of peace and non-judgement. Anyone who needs to chat is welcome anytime. Never suffer in silence. We have food in the fridge, coffee and tea in the cupboard. listening ears, shoulders to cry on and love & thoughts to share. This is an old value that has been lost to technology. A text, face-time, or emoji is not the equivalent of making time for those we love or care about!

Mission Statement
For many years, the house existed informally as a refuge for those who needed it. In time it became necessary for the status of the home to be formalised and "The Children of Chiang Mai" evolved into a foundation. All in all for nearly three decades it has been able to provide a warm, tolerant home for the children of the Hill Tribe Territories and throughout Thailand.
Children are educated to the highest standards available in Chiang Mai City, whether that be within the International or the Thai curricula systems.
Furthermore, children are educated through Universities or Technical Colleges should they wish to undertake the responsibilities involved.
The Children of Chiang Mai is nondenominational.

Our home is run through team work. Every child helps with the chores to maintain the home. Even the cooking is done by the kids. They are learning responsibility.
Funding for the home is also based on teamwork.
Donations have helped keep our doors open to allow these young boys to find their way in life. We have partner organizations that also contribute to our cause.
